About our Private Training Sessions

We currently offer private training options at your home or offsite such as Sokol Park Pavilion or the RiverWalk, depending on your training needs and dog’s experience.

All owners interested in private training sessions must schedule an initial in-person consultation session first. This session will allow you to meet our trainer and allows the trainer to evaluate the training goals, interact and observe the dog(s), and come up with an actionable training plan. Once we have finished a consultation session, owners are welcome to start scheduling private sessions as desired.

Private Training Sessions are for:

  • Owners who would like individual attention and a personalized training plan focused on their needs

  • Owners who can not make our currently scheduled training classes

  • Dogs with mild behavioral issues* such as separation anxiety, mild leash reactivity, and fearful behaviors

  • Owners who feel more comfortable learning in a one on one setting

  • Any one who feels private sessions are the best fit to reach their training goals

*A phone screening will be required for severe behavioral issues such as aggression before scheduling any in-person consultation or private sessions. Please email Barkuniversity.AL@gmail.com with any questions.

How to get Started

  1. Schedule your in-person consultation session through the section below.

  2. Discuss training goals and expectations with your trainer during your consultation session and allow your trainer to observe how you and your dog(s) interact as well as any issues you might have concerns about.

  3. Your trainer will create a training plan for you and your dog(s) based on the information provided from the owner as well as what they observed with the owner and dog(s) during their consultation session.

  4. Once you have received your training plan from your trainer after your consultation session, you are welcome to start scheduling private sessions through the “Private Training Session” section listed below. Sessions can be scheduled one at a time or purchased in packages available at the bottom of the page.

Our initial consultation allows us to meet both dog and owners, talk about all issues, and evaluate the dog. We will write a training plan outlining next steps, which we will continue to adjust moving forward in response to training progression.

These sessions are not meant to address any behavioral issues such as aggression. A phone screening will be required for severe behavioral issues before scheduling any in-person services.

PRIVATE Training SESSION

Private Sessions can be scheduled after a consultation session has been completed. The goals for our private training session are to work on the training plan determined by the trainer at the time of the consultation session. You can purchase sessions as needed one at a time through this option.

If you are interested in purchasing Private Session Packages, you must purchase your package first before scheduling your sessions. Packages can be purchased at the section below.

Private training session packages are meant to offer a better price per session to owners who’s training goals need several sessions to learn all the skills necessary for success or would like the continual guidance from our trainers.

Packages can not be refunded once a package has started to be redeemed.

Schedule Private Sessions

1.Purchase your package through the acuity section above.

2. Go to the “Schedule Priavate Session” acuity section.

3. Click “Redeem Coupon, Package, or Giftcard” at the top of the scheduling page.

4. Enter the email you provided for your package purchase.

5. Schedule your first session! (Please be sure to “Create an Account” on the confirmation screen after you’ve chosen a date and time. This will create an account that will track your used sessions as well as auto filling your information when scheduling sessions.)
