Canine Life Skills Classes

About:

Our Canine Life Skills (CLS) program teaches obedience to both owner and dog. The CLS program begins with small group classes on-site at Hot Diggity Doggie Camp in Northport. As you and your pup progress, your team will have the opportunity to go on off-site outings. We recommend our CLS training program to owners looking to build a strong partnership with their pups while addressing a large array of common dog-related issues. Our class sessions are capped at five canine students each, led by at least one trainer.

CLS is a rolling start class where you and your dog can attend up to two classes per week! You can take breaks from training and join back right where you left off. This flexible program offers owners the support needed to stay consistent and work through basic to advanced skills.

Our training curriculum is modeled on our education system. Your pup can earn a high school, a bachelor’s, a master’s, and even a doctorate degree in canine obedience! Each pup receives a report card for each degree level, and after passing the final exam, you’ll take home a diploma for each level. On-site sessions end with a fun special activity you won’t want to miss!

Once your pup has earned the bachelor’s degree, you are eligible to participate in our Field Trips! Our trainers will meet you somewhere around Tuscaloosa to put those classroom skills to some real-world practice. Field Trip locations include Home Depot, the UA Arboretum, local pet stores, the Riverwalk, downtown Northport, and HomeGoods.
