Board and Train
About:
We have paired with The Pawms Pet Resort in Tuscaloosa to offer a 2-week board and train program. Our program is designed to focus on teaching pre-selected obedience skills to your dog over their two week stay with The Pawms. During their stay, your pup will attend 5 private training sessions per week with one of our BARK University trainers. They also have the option to join in on The Pawms daycare program. Skills will be continuously reinforced throughout the day as they interact with boarding and daycare staff.
You will receive updated emails and videos every day of training to keep you informed on your dog’s progress. On pick up day, our 45-minute transfer session will provide all the information you need to reinforce what they’ve learned and continue their training at home. You will also receive credit for one free private training session* to help you transition all of your dog’s new skills to your home and answer any questions you may have.
*Private training session will be done by zoom if your location is >10 miles from The Pawms Pet Resort in Tuscaloosa

Phone Consultation
First, you must schedule a free phone consultation where one of our trainers can review what your goals and expectations are for your dog’s board and train to assure our program is a good fit for you and your dog.
Once you have completed your phone consultation with us, BARK University will email over a link to set up your dog’s boarding profile over at The Pawms Pet Resort. Once this profile is completed, we can officially reserve your Board and Train dates.
Board and Train includes:
10 private 1 hour training sessions
Update emails and videos every training day
Daily daycare and socialization opertunities*
1 on-site transfer session on pick up day
1 private training session (at home or by zoom)
*Daycare will be avalible to all dogs who are approved to attend. Unaltered Dogs can attend daycamp up 7 months of age. After 7 months of age, unaltered dogs will not be permitted in daycare and will be scheduled for appropriate outside time without any playmates.

Changes to daycare attendence
As part of your Board and Train package, your dog will become part of The Pawms Pet Resort's play groups. Should your dog exhibit any inappropriate behavior in the yards as determined by The Pawms staff, your dog will be removed from play groups. Your dog will still receive appropriate outdoor play time without other canine playmates
Additional Boarding and daycare fees
Services beyond the normal scope of Pawms Pet Resort offerings for daycare and boarding clients will be added to the base Board and Train price on pick up. These services include, but are not limited to, timed medication delivery, baths, and other grooming services.
