About Puppy Kindergarten
We know how important it is to start your puppy’s socilization and education off right, so we’ve put together a 6 week class curriculum to help guide you through the early months of your puppy’s life. Our classes take place inside our training building which is disinfected and cleaned before every puppy class.
Our Puppy Kindergarten is for puppies between 2 & 4 Months who have had at least 2 rounds of shots. We work on socializing with other puppies and pointing out positive play as well as learning basic commands. Our classes are designed for puppies to pass their AKC STAR Puppy Test which is included in our class price.
Every class starts with a mini introduction/play session where we point out positive play in a monitored play group. We move on to our learning session, then back to a mini play session. Every class, we will set time aside to go over common puppy issues and answer any questions.
Learning Schedule
Week One: Name recognition, sit, and potty training tips
Week Two: Lay down, recall, and how to handle puppy jumping
Week Three: Leash walking, leave it, and the power of attention
Week Four: Confidence building, crate manners, and leash pulling
Week Five: Importance of grooming and body handling/desensetizing
Week Six: STAR Puppy Test & Puppy Graduation Day
Each class we have short, supervised puppy play sessions where we point out positive puppy play to the parents and explain when to intervene.
