Welcome To BARK University Dog Training

Thank you for your interest in BARK University. We are committed to providing a safe and positive dog training experience to the local Northport and Tuscaloosa, Alabama areas. We offer both private and small group training class as well as a variety of pop-up seminars and six-week specialty classes.

Our goal is to create a clear line of communication between dog and owner to help pets live the happiest and healthiest life possible. To read more about our training philosophy, check out our “About” page!

WORK WITH BARK university

Private Training

At home or on-site training sessions focused on specific training and/or mild behavioral issues. Sessions are desgined to offer more focused and tailored training to your specific needs!

Board and Train

A 2 week basic obedience program designed to immerse your dog in learning basic obedience skills while boarding with our trusted partners.

Small Group Training

Small group training classes specialized on life skills and basic to advanced obedience. Small group sizes help dogs learn to focus and work around other dogs and owners.

6 Week Classes

6 Week specialty programs designed to teach specific select skills to you and your dog. Classes such as Beginner Agility, Basic Obedience, FIT Dog Level 1, Novice Trick Dog, Puppy Kindergarten, and more!

Seminars

One time pop-up classes focused on specific topics and training. Commonly offered topics such as polite greetings, emergency recall, nosework, and more!

Daycare Add-ons

We’ve partnered with local doggie daycares to offer training and enrichment options to their clients. Services include grooming prep, enrichment camp, polite greetings, and more!

We are now booking for October Academy days! Academy days have to be paid for separately from Daycamp days, meaning you can't use package days for these. The price for the full day is $55 and drop off should be between 7am and 8am with pick up time

Dog Parkour is all about going out into the world and finding new ways for your pup to engage with the environment! We'll learn how to jump on stumps, go under natural wonders, weave through leaves, go over boulders, and go round and round all over t
Dog Parkour is all about going out into the world and finding new ways for your pup to engage with the environment! We'll learn how to jump on stumps, go under natural wonders, weave through leaves, go over boulders, and go round and round all over the ground! Parkour is great for shy and confident dogs, and it requires no human athleticism. Over the course, we'll learn several different ways to interact with obstacles we find in nature. We'll also practice taking videos of our dogs performing the skills. At the end of the course, you'll have a collection of short videos you can submit to the International Dog Parkour Association to earn fancy titles for your pup!
